COPYRIGHT AND PERMISSION FOR USEThe digitized images of photographs and original tablets presented in the joint database of the Columbia University Libraries (CUL), and the Cuneiform Digital Library Initiative (CDLI, Los Angeles/Berlin), are for the personal, non-profit use of students, scholars, and the public. All such images are subject to copyright laws and are the exclusive property of the Columbia University Libraries. CUL’s policy governing the publication and digital reproduction of its cuneiform images, however, looks to making the collection as widely and freely available to research as possible. Citation of such images found through the CDLI should take the form, “Cuneiform 0322, Rare Book & Manuscript Library, Columbia University in the City of New York,” to use the famous Old Babylonian mathematical table text Plimpton 322 as an example. For their records, kindly inform CUL-RBML of your publication plans.
